Ever wanted to try woodworking but didn’t know where to start? This fun, beginner-friendly class is the perfect place to dive in!
In just 2 hours, you’ll learn how to make a beautiful 8×10 picture frame using trim wood, basic joinery, and a variety of tools.
You’ll get hands-on with a table saw, miter jigs, and hand tools to learn cutting, sanding, gluing, clamping, and finishing techniques — no prior experience required!

* Intro to woodworking tools and safe handling

* Reinforcing joints with decorative splines
* Finishing and mounting artwork with mats and acrylic
* Frame rabbeting will NOT be covered in this course, but is covered in the advanced offering of this class

* Trim-grade wood (to build with hardwood, you’ll need to take the advanced course offering)

**🧢 What to Bring**
* Closed-toed shoes — Safety first! Sneakers are perfect. No sandals, please.
* Tie back long hair — We’ll be working with tools, so keep it out of the way.
* No flowy sleeves or loose clothing — Think fitted and comfortable. Avoid anything that might catch on equipment.
* Optional: Bring a photo, print, or art piece (8″x10″ or smaller) if you want to mount it in your frame when you’re done!
