Curious about welding but not sure where to start? Join us at Lexington Makerspace for a hands-on Beginner Welding Class designed for total newcomers!
In this friendly and low-pressure workshop, you’ll learn the basics of MIG welding—a great entry point into the world of metalwork. We’ll cover:
- Safety procedures and protective gear
- How welding machines work
- How to set up and adjust your welder
- Hands-on practice making simple welds
By the end of the class, you’ll have a better understanding of welding fundamentals and get to take home a small metal project you welded yourself!
No experience necessary—wear closed-toe shoes, long sleeves (cotton or natural fibers only), and come ready to learn. All tools and safety equipment will be provided.
